HTTYD - Tuffcup - The Demons (8)Every day the strong Viking teen has kept himself busy. He allows himself no time to relax or think. Just the fact that he's keeping so busy reminds himself of what he's trying to distract himself from and that knowledge just makes him work harder. Lately he's been doing a lot of uncharacteristic things like going to Astrid's training thing. It's actually kinda alright. He's learned some useful things and got to fight a wild dragon. Maybe he should have gone earlier, but no he was with NO!!
Tuffnut scrubs harder at the saddle, pretending that there's a stain or something on it but he knows it's just a lie. A distraction. He scrubs even harder until his fingertips start to bleed. Shit now the saddle really will have a stain on it. Dropping it into the dust and standing up, he kicks a soapy-water filled bucket. His life is so frustrating. He, Tuffnut Thorston, actually read a book. While he is still alive. If anyone knew they might never look at him the same and all their respect for him
HTTYD .:. Awkward"Oh man...how am I gonna do this? Best case scenario she accepts-worst case scenario she hits me with something."
Hiccup sighed and leaned back next to the taller boy. "I know what you mean. Astrid's always hitting me with stuff."
"Not really helping," Fishlegs muttered.
The two boys sat in silence for a while, watching Astrid and Ruffnut where the two girls sat some distance away, talking happily and comparing axes.
"You know," Hiccup said suddenly. "There is a way we can find out if she likes you."
"We ask Tuff. He's her brother so he should know."
"I dunno, Hiccup. Somehow I don't think she really shares much with him except bruises. Why don't you ask Astrid? She'll have to know...girls talk about pretty much anything."
Hiccup frowned. "You really want me to ask my violence-inclined girlfriend if Ruffnut likes you? Are you insane? She'll kill me."
"Because Astrid's like that. If I say I'm doing something for a friend she automatically assumes that I'm the 'fri
HTTYD - Tuffcup - Unwanted (10)Strong arms wrap around him and pull him close. It's snowing but despite the cold the door to the lodge Hiccup shares with his father, Toothless, and temporarily Tuffnut is open. The snow lazily falls to the ground, melting as soon as it touches it. A soft mouth sucks on the extra-sensitive skin of his neck making him shiver. "Mmm .Good morning." His houseguest greets him with whispered words. When he shivers again he's pulled closer and their bodies mold together perfectly, something that always surprises the smaller weaker Viking. "Cold?" the voice teases.
"N-No." There's a fire going in their fireplace that's keeping the whole lodge wonderfully toasty despite the open door. But the teen knows that this isn't what the voice is talking about. In spite of caring for the wounded Viking twin even being this close to him scares Hiccup. Now that the twin is strong enough to fight him well something bad might happen again. A low seductive laugh sounds behind him, "Are you sur
Breadmaking Vikings"Why don't we have more bread making Vikings?" Hiccup mocked himself viciously as he stirred a handful of flour into the rapidly thickening bread dough. "Why did I ever agree to this. Stupid Astrid, stupid bet, stupid everything."
Thank Odin Tuff was still out chopping down trees for the winters supply of firewood. He'd never live it down, women's work in the big village lodge, Astrid sitting beside the large stone oven and smirking at him every step of the way. He winced a little, knowing that if any of the women he knew even suspected him of thinking that baking bread was women's work he'd be done for. All the women he knew could wipe the floor with him without even breaking a sweat.
"Keep stirring Hicca." Astrid crooned, thumbing the edge of her battle axe to test it's sharpness as she watched her friend, making sure he wasn't about to bail on their bet. She could only hope tha
HTTYD - Tuffcup - Something (2)The scent of salt water is carried on the wind towards the seaside cliff where a small brunette teenager sits, legs dangling over the edge and head tossed back to view bright twinkling stars in the dark sky. For the most part the village is asleep, the nightly silence broken only by the sound of a hammer against steel and normal nightly sounds. Gobber must be making new weapons although for what Hiccup cant for the life of him figure out. It's probably because he has nothing else to do and old habits die hard. The village sure has gotten peaceful since the dragons became the friends of Vikings.
Soft boot steps in the grass behind him alert Hiccup to someone approaching. "Hey Hicca." Hiccup's breath catches in his throat and his heartbeat rapidly speeds up. Memories of the forest flash before his eyes. Without turning around the brunette replies, "Hey Tuff." The blonde Viking teenage twin sits beside him, long legs dangling over the cliffside. The contrast between the two of them is so

Tuffnut asked a he entered the forge. It had been a habit of his to drop by the forge during afternoons on his way home from training the younger people how to take care of and ride dragons, whenever he knew Hiccup wasn't working on some new contraption or modifications for toothless' artificial tail fin, and walk him home. Hiccup hadn't liked it at the beginning, insisting that lived far enough without having to walk him to his house and then go to his own but as always, Tuffnut just ignored him and kept doing it until Hiccup gave up trying to convince him to stop dropping by to walk him home and just let the blond do as he pleased.
The tall Viking called out, eyes scanning the area slowly. Hmm, usually Hiccup would come right out to greet him as soon as he walked in through the front door.
His eyebrows furrowed as he ventured further into the forge, mind working to recall if perhaps Hiccup had said he would be busy tonight and he just forgot.
"Nahh, I'm p
Inspector Wolf The old lady was dead. I could smell it before I even got into the house. The whole place reeked of adrenaline, sweat, fear, copper and steel. He’d dropped her right in her living room. Chopped and chopped until she stopped moving. But I could tell I was getting close. This had been done in a hurry, and the killer didn’t have the time to clean up after himself like he usually did.
Across the room, the phone rang. The shrill sound set my teeth to grinding, but I ignored it. Instead I followed the killer’s bloody footprints into the back bedroom. He’d climbed out the window. If I hurried, I could catch up to him and end this disgusting spree he was on.
Then the answering machine kicked in. “Hi, Gramma! It’s Red. Sorry I’m running late. I kind of lost track of time. But don’t worry. I packed the picnic and I’m heading out the door right now. Love you.”
She’d been expec
